Russian language program

The Department of the Russian Language for Foreigners is a structural division of the School of Foreign Languages. It was established for students who wants to study and improve his/her Russian as well as to prepare for entering into University.

The Department offers a wide range of the Russian language courses applicable to groups of different levels. You can choose any of them according to your objectives and the level of Russian.

The documents must be sent via email:

Official invitation is issued by the Russian Federal Migration Office.

The original invitation is send directly to the Russian Embassy or Consulate of your country via email. VSUES sends a short copy of the Invitation to the applicant. The short copy must be printed and included to the visa application documents.


To obtain a Russian visa a student must have an Invitation (and a letter of support in some cases) form VSUES.

Student must apply for visa in the same Russian Embassy or Consulate which is mentioned in the Application form.

The visa is single-entry and issued for a period of 90 days. It is extended by a VSUES visa office.


International students are to be accommodated on campus in various types of student dormitories. All the dormitories have kitchen areas, so the students can prepare meals.

For an exchange student it is mandatory to have a health insurance. Insurance can be purchased in your home country or upon arrival to Russia. VSUES assists international students in applying for a health insurance.

Approximate cost of health insurance obtained in Russia:

  • 2100 rubles – 4 months (1 semester)
  • 3100 rubles – 9 months (2 semesters)
