Students and professors from Tottori University of Environmental Studies (Japan), which is the partner of VSUES, arrived in VSUES for the cultural exchange program. During the week, the guests were acquainted with VSUES, Vladivostok, Russian culture and history.
Eventful program that included lectures and workshops was composed by the Department of International Relations.

Leading specialist of the Department of International Relations Olga Bogova announced the interaction of universities: “Agreement of cooperation between VSUES and Tottori University of Environmental Studies was signed in 2011. One of its points is the promotion of student and professors exchanges. As a result of negotiations, which took place in March of this year, the dates of the first student exchanges were scheduled. This semester six students  accompanied by Professor Michiko Itsumi arrived from the University of Environment.”

Professor Michiko Itsumi gave the information about Japanese students: “They are future ecologists and managers. Most of them learn Russian as a second language, focusing on Russian culture.  Much more Japanese students would like to visit Russia, so we had to do a kind of competitive selection.” In a few weeks these students will go to Japan for a return visit.
