VSUES and SCUN (PRC): the number of exchange programs will increase

The delegation of South Central University for Nationalities of China visited VSUES. Vice-rectors of universities - Sergey Golikov and Duan Chao agreed to expand cooperation of the universities in the field of academic mobility, educational programs for foreign students and identified new directions for the development of relationships.

VSUES and SCUN have successfully cooperated since 2013 in the field of student exchange for 1-2 semesters. The education for this period was highly appreciated by both students and teachers from both universities. In this regard, Sergey Golikov, vice rector for educational and research work of VSUES, suggested Chinese partners to expand the range of undergraduate educational programs in English for Chinese students, and also pay attention to the educational programs of the master degree programs in Chinese.

Pro-rector of SCUN Duan Chao asked VSUES to increase quota for their students, since the number of people willing to learn Russian and other disciplines is increasing every year. In addition, SCUN is interested in teaching its professors at VSUES and it is ready to host Russian professors.

In the South Central University for Nationalities there are two institutes of arts working at once - painting, music and dance. Students make national costumes for traditional dance performances themselves. The offer of VSUES to join the Association of Design Universities of the Asia-Pacific Countries and take part in Pacific University Style Week and even work on joint clothing collections was accepted with enthusiasm by Chinese partners.

The nearest event, which will be attended by students and faculty of SCUN, is an International Scientific-Practical Conference, which is traditionally held at VSUES in early April as part of a Week of Science.
