VSUES holds Poetry Contest

International students took part in the forth poetry recitation contest held at the School of Foreign Languages of VSUES. The event aims to inspire students of Russian to take a closer look at masterpieces of Russian literature. The students recited poems written by both Russian and foreign authors. The total number of participants hit 50 people. They competed in clarity of pronunciation, emotional delivery, artistic and other skills.

One of the jury members said it was not an easy task to choose the winner because all the participants had put their heart in their performances.

Many experts believe learning Russian poetry helps you to understand Russians and Russian culture better.
