VSUES students became prize-winners of the Primorsky Krai boxing championship, the next stage is the Far Eastern Federal District championship.
In Vladivostok, in the boxing hall of the «Юность России» sports club, the Primorsky Krai boxing championship was held. The competition was attended by: a 4th year student of the VSUES Academic College Ivan Sinitsyn, a 2nd year student of the Department of International Relations and Law Jahongir Kodirov and a 1st year student of the Department of Physical Culture and Health and Sports Work Firdavs Aslonov.
During the tournament, the proper regime was observed: coaches and referees were equipped with masks, and the informant judge, coach of the VSUES Sports Student Club Alexei Mikhailovich Svinkin constantly reminded those present that they had masks.
- The competitions are qualifying for the championship of the Far Eastern Federal District, which will be held in May 2021 in Khabarovsk. It was hard for the guys to prepare, they couldn't train for a long time. It is felt that somewhere there is a lack of functional and physical training ”, - said the chief judge of the competition Yuri Shalimov.
According to the level of training, the participants were divided into two groups: in the first, athletes from the first category and above competed, in the second - the second, third categories and without them.
- I have been training with Alexei Mikhailovich Svinkin for two years, and I have been involved in sports for over 10 years. I have 1 category in boxing, I am CCM in MMA and kickboxing. At the championship of the Primorsky Territory, the guys and I performed quite well. I wanted, of course, to compete in the finals, since my opponent should be an experienced master of sports in boxing, but the doctors did not allow me for health reasons. I hope to meet with my rival at the next competitions, - said Kodirov Jakhongir.
Results of the competition:
Kodirov Jakhongir - II place in the weight category up to 63 kg;
Aslonov Firdavs - II place in the weight category up to 60 kg;
Sinitsyn Ivan - III place in the weight category up to 75 kg.
