With the support of the head of the Russian House in Tokyo Igor Titov, an online presentation of the VSUES in Japan was held. The vice-rector presented our university for Educational and Research Work Sergey Golikov. In total, more than 40 people attended the meeting – these are potential applicants and their parents, as well as representatives of Japanese universities.

During the meeting, Sergey Golikov spoke about the university; about the possibilities of studying both free within the quota allocated annually by the Government of the Russian Federation free education of foreign citizens in Russian universities, and on a paid basis. The guests of the meeting also learned that various short-term programs are held in the VSUES in Russian and in English, the nearest of which is Vladivostok Winter School, which will be held from January 16 to 30, 2022.

After the presentation of the university, the participants of the meeting asked interesting questions. The most frequently asked question was how our university organized work with students living in a dormitory in case of infection with a coronavirus infection:

– At our university there are specially designated places where students are transferred until they fully recover and receive a negative test for infection, at this time they receive all the necessary medical care, if inpatient treatment is required, then every foreign student will also receive it in a timely manner, - Sergey Golikov replied.

Sergey Golikov also answered questions about the cost of tuition, the cost of living and dispelled all worries about how to enter a university without knowledge of the Russian language – for this purpose; a preparatory department for foreign citizens was organized at VSUES.

Igor Titov noted:

– According to the results of the meeting, we see that interest in Vladivostok, in your university is quite high, which means that there is a great potential for developing relations with Japanese universities, organizations and attracting Japanese applicants.

The head of the Russian House in Tokyo also expressed readiness to assist in organizing various events in the cultural and educational sphere between the VSUES and universities in Japan.
