Department of Ecology and Environmental Problems of Chemical Technology

Department of Ecology and Environmental Problems of Chemical Technology was established in 2014 on the basis of the Institute of chemistry of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Science`s (FEB RAS).

Scientific directions of the Department include:

• Environmental monitoring and environment protection;
• Resource-efficient biotechnologies and nanotechnologies for complex use of valuable resources of the Russian Far East flora;
• Climate change in the Arctic;
• Generation of functional materials with desired properties through the complex processing of mineral, technology-related and vegetable stock;
• Energy-efficient and resource-saving chemical-engineering processes and problems of their intensification;
• Environmental problems of chemical technology and related fields;
• Technology of inorganic substances and materials;
• Creation of functional materials for the purpose of detoxification of environmental objects polluted with heavy metals and radionuclides.

During the years of study, our students not only receive fundamental education — they also enjoy summer field practices, as well as they obtain practical knowledge at the enterprises and the organizations in various regions of Primorsky Krai.
