Oil and gas engineering is one of the most demanded applied technical areas in Russia, having studied which, the graduate will have systematic knowledge and practical skills in operation and maintenance of technological equipment used in the industry, planning and organization of work at wells, control over compliance with industrial safety measures and environmental legislation norms in oil and gas production and transportation.

Relevance of education:

The oil and gas complex in the Russian Far East is developing very rapidly. The need for specialists is trying to be met by inviting specialists from western regions of Russia, which does not always work out.

One of the priorities of the modern Russian oil industry is to diversify directions and ways of supplying to world markets. The Far East is a key region for Russia's access to fast-growing markets in countries (the Asia-Pacific Region), where an export transport infrastructure is now being formed. The development of production (extraction, processing) and transport infrastructure is not only the most important task for the socio-economic development of the Far East regions and ensuring Russia's energy security, but also serves Russia's geopolitical interests.

Pipelines are present in almost every region, and where they are not yet present, there are definitely facilities for the storage and sale of oil products and gas.
