Jonathan Galaviz: VSUES students should know values of their region.

Internationally acclaimed economist and strategy consultant, managing director and chief economist of Galaviz&Company Jonathan Galaviz came to visit Vladivostok from the USA. The American economist arrived by the invitation of the Primorski krai administration for the purpose of strategic consultancy of local specialists carrying out an investment project of integrated entertainment zone “Primorye”.

During his visit Jonathan Galaviz expressed a desire to meet VSUES students and discuss with them in business English the development prospects of the Primorski krai territory in case a gambling zone would be created.

In the course of the lecture the guest used examples of gaming areas and casinos located in Singapore, China (city of Macao) and USA (Los Angeles, Chicago) to demonstrate development possibilities of our region and the importance of combining economic growth of the region with its tourist sector.

- It is important for students to be aware of the values of their region in order to intelligently develop the tourist industry in accordance with resources and attractions of the region and its economic growth, - said Galaviz.

The speaker added that integrated entertainment zone was not limited to casinos and gaming machines, but also included a network of hotels, restaurants, trading and entertainment centers, sports facilities. It is significant for tourists and guests of an integrated entertainment zone to have as bigger variety of offers in one space as possible.
