VSUES was visited by a delegation of the Tottori city headed by the mayor Takeuchi Isao

President of VSUES Gennady Lazarev and management team of the university met with the delegation of the Tottori city headed by the mayor Takeuchi Isao. The guests from Japan came to Vladivostok for the second time. The delegation consisted of representatives from tourist business, administration and city parliament officials.

VSUES expressed willingness to develop friendly and business relations with the Tottori city.  Promotion of culture relations, organization of charter flights Tottori – Vladivostok and cooperation between VSUES and the Tottori University of Environment were discussed at the meeting. It means exchange programs for students and teachers.

A professional staff member of the International relations department of VSUES Vladimir Yanfa told about lessons of calligraphy and ikebana that were carried at the university for promoting Japanese culture. He also suggested a number of joint projects.  

Mr. Takeuchi Isao gave a lecture for the students and teachers of VSUES. It was about Tottori and its attractions: sand dunes, traditional cooking, places and events worth seeing.

Within the framework of the visit the Japanese partners of VSUES also made a presentation of tourist opportunities of their city. This presentation was attended by representatives of Vladivostok tourist agencies, followers of Oriental culture and those who planned to spend their vacation in Japan.

That same day 38 Japanese companies from Tottori city carried trading negotiations in VSUES. This meeting was organized for Vladivostok businessmen who were interested in establishing cooperation with Tottori city. The Japanese companies presented all business directions developed in their city, starting from food and Japanese paper production up to manufacturing of trading equipment and car parts.
