VVSU invites to Open Days

12 декабря 2022 University life

Last weekend, Vladivostok State University once again opened its hospitable doors to the participants in the Open Days.

At the School of Physical education and sport, the Open Day was held at the Champion Sports Complex.

Natalia Gritskikh, a student of Physical education, sport and recreation Department, and winner of the university's WorldSkills championship in the competence of Physical Education, Sport and Fitness, gave a speech to the future university entrants:

– I joined the university in 2019. Through my studies at VVSU, I have gained professional experience in pre-school and general education. I have tried my hand at being an instructor, teacher and trainer. I got acquainted with modern physical education and sports infrastructure and the latest fitness technologies.

Our profession is in demand and promising, the government pays special attention to the development of children's and youth sport. The need for qualified personnel – teachers, instructors, sports managers, who can work as graduates of our school – is growing every year.

I am on the finish line; I plan to continue studying in Master's program and intend to combine study with work on my speciality. I wish you not to be afraid to try something new and to do what you really love, and VVSU will help you with that.

At the same time, there was a presentation on International relations by the School of Law at VVSU.

Roman Grivanov, Head of the International relations and law Department, welcomed the high school students and gave the floor to Daria Zhivotova, a 3rd year International relations student:

– It is a very interesting speciality, which covers not only the field of politics but also cultural communication. I graduated from a school with a profound study of English in Vladivostok. Now I am studying Japanese, I could have chosen Korean or Chinese. There is a possibility to get a second diploma in English. Besides, I am actively engaged in a science. Since my first year, I started to take part in international conferences. Now I am chairing a club where students learn foreign languages while communicating with people from different parts of the world.  There are many foreigners from Laos, Mexico, Korea, China, etc. studying at the university.  We do internships in organizations related to international relations, such as various tourism companies and cultural institutions in the city. Moreover, I really find it very interesting, it gives me a lot of pleasure, and I would be very happy if you come to our university, study and enjoy the process.
