Igor Ponomar and Andrei Litvinov, students of the School of Pedagogy and Linguistics, got an unusual practice of simultaneous interpretation. During the meeting with the members of the hockey club Admiral, which took place in VVSU, students were lucky to test their level of language and help the Czech legionnaire-defender  Libor Sulak, who plays in the team, to participate in the conversation.

In the past, Libor has been part of the Czech national team at the 2017, 2018 and 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship. Libor played two seasons with the Admirals. As Tatyana Shekhovtsova, senior lecturer, mentioned, the students had no time to practice for a long time because of covid-restrictions and absence of foreigners. Therefore, Igor and Andrei prepared very carefully for their work at the press conference.

Although the overall impression of the event was positive, the students admit that there were some shortcomings in their work. The excitement added to the large number of guests coming to communicate with the hockey players.
