VVSU foreign students creatively prepared for Easter

VVSU lecturers organized an unusual workshop with an immersion in Russian culture for students of the preparatory department for foreign nationals.  On the eve of Easter, the students painted their own eggs and learned about the traditions of this Christian holiday.

Students from Laos, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Indonesia, Korea, Japan and many others participated in the event. The basis for the painting was the Russian alphabet.

After just half an hour, the white eggs had been transformed into works of art. Flowers blossomed and butterflies flew on them, a crocodile smiled and even a map of the world appeared.

VVSU faculty members hold events that immerse international students in Russian culture regularly. Together they celebrate the New Year, and not only Russian, but also other countries,  Maslenitsa, go on excursions and to the theatre, and participate in festivals and competitions organized by the university.
