Medical examination and fingerprinting (dactyloscopy) registration
Dear foreign students!
According to paragraph 13 and paragraph 18 of Article 5 of the Federal Law of Russian Federation as of July 25, 2002 No. 115-FZ “About legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation”, foreign citizens who arrived in the Russian Federation after December 29, 2021, must pass medical examination and mandatory fingerprinting (dactyloscopy) registration and photographing for a period of 90 days from the date of entry into the Russian Federation.
In accordance with Order of the Ministry of Health of Russia dated November 19, 2021 No. 1079n “About establishing of the procedure of medical examinations...” a medical examination must be passed once a year. Within 30 days from the date of expiration of medical documents of the medical examination, foreign citizens undergo the medical examination procedure again. A foreign citizen at his/her own cost and expense pays for medical examinations.
Mandatory state fingerprint registration and photographing are carried out by internal affairs bodies once free of charge.
Documents required for medical examination:
1) passport;
2) migration card and its copy for foreign citizens who arrived in Russia on a visa-free basis;
3) visa and its copy for foreign citizens who arrived in Russia on a visa basis.
Documents required for fingerprint registration and photographing:
- a photo (3x4cm) on a white background;
- application;
- copy of passport, copy of notarized translation of passport;
- copy of medical examination report;
- copy of registration;
- copy of the migration card.
A student must bring the originals of these documents on the appointed day of dactyloscopy.
In case of failure to pass mandatory state fingerprint registration, photographing, and medical examination the temporary stay period of students in the Russian Federation can be reduced.
