In the halls of the university one can hear more and more conversations in the English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and even Japanese languages. Each semester different professional or language programs of the university are being taken by the students from the neighboring countries and far abroad: China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, USA and Canada. Some students enter short-term courses of the Russian language studies, others take bachelor or master programs and receive their higher education in Russsia.

In the spring semester more than 260 foreign students study in VSUES, - said chief of International Relations Department of VSUES Anastasiya Kucherenko. -  Among foreign students the most popular are the programs of economical profiles, management, law, information technologies, the Russian language, country studies of Far East of Russia, and also design. As a result of new profiles and programs in English that will start from the next educational year as well as expansion of geography of international cooperation we expect a big intake of students from different countries.

For newly arrived foreign students the International Relations Department and Youth center of VSUES organized “acquaintance party”. The students got acquainted with Russia, Vladivostok and VSUES. Principal performers of the pop song group “Exprompt” presented several vocal performances to the guests. Member of the Students’ society of VSUES Darya Safronova showed a presentation in English and conducted an acquaintance and team-building game.

- There is always one purpose of such events, that is to get foreign and Russian students acquainted with each other, to provide opportunity to make new friends, to give knowledge about customs and traditions of different cultures, - said leading specialist of International programs department Elena Chistyakova.
