VSUES students became delegates of the Moscow international model of the United Nations
Three students from VSUES participated in the traditional conference “Moscow international model of the United Nations organization, 2012”. The 13th conference gathered within the walls of MSIIR more than 600 students from 27 countries of the world. Anastasiya Nikulina, Tatyana Pavlishina and Evgeniya Schur representing VSUES at the model of the United Nations were the only delegates from Primorsky Krai.
During the week students and upperclassmen reproduced work of the United Nations organization. Delegates acted as official representatives of the member countries of the UN who came to the conference for discussion of the questions on the agenda of their committee. The participants of the conference were obliged to defend the official position of the country they represented, but not their own notion.
-The whole week we met with other delegates and acted as real members of the UN. The work of the committees was conducted in several official languages. My committee worked in English. Writing of the resolution was the main purpose of each committee. It was possible to achieve it only through accomplishing a compromise of interests of all the presented countries, - said a 4-year student of the School of International Business and Economics Anastasiya Nikulina.
-The resolutions we have passed were sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation later. The delegates set forth really worth-while and intelligent ideas. They can be used for solution of important state matters, - added a 4-year student of the School of International Business and Economics ИМБЭ Tatyana Pavlishina.
According to VSUES students, the model of the United Nations organization is a big team of knowledgeable and talented people whose thoughts and interests are not limited by confines of space and time. Young people that take part in this conference are not afraid of hold their own and are ready to share their ideas with the world.
-Participation in the model of the United Nations organization gave us vast experience. We are very grateful to our university for this opportunity to show ourselves at the event of the international level, - remarked a 4-year student of the School of International Business and Economics Evgeniya Schur.
