VSUES is successfully developing relations between Russia and Vietnam

A cultural and tourist festival of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam took place in Vladivostok from the 10th until the 13th of July. A delegation from the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism of the country came to the city for the event.  

An important part of the festival was a meeting of the representatives of the Vietnamese delegation with the president of VSUES, Doctor of Science in Economics Gennady Lazarev as well as a photo exhibition “Vietnam is a never-ending beauty” and a concert “National arts of Vietnam” that were held in the university. Representatives of VSUES, Primorski Krai administration and Primorye eparchy discussed development of cooperation in education and culture with the representatives from the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism of Vietnam in the turquoise hall of the president’s office.

At the opening of the meeting Gennady Lazarev said:

- There has always been good and friendly relations between Russia and Vietnam. Today’s meeting will contribute to their further development.  

Minister of culture, sports and tourism of Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh thanked all the participants for their interest in the country and shared his impressions of the university after the excursion.

- I know that VSUES will celebrate its 45th anniversary this year. Your university has a contemporary base and experienced teaching personnel. Education is one of the main priorities of our country and we would like to invite the VSUES president, teachers and students to our educational institutions to exchange experience and knowledge, - mentioned Hoang Tuan Anh.

After discussing development of cooperation between VSUES and the Ministry of culture, sports and tourism of Vietnam the parties agreed about further visits and made way to the opening of the photo exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition “Vietnam is a never-ending beauty” was to acquaint the citizens of Vladivostok and Primorski Krai with sights, traditions and customs of Vietnam.

The final event of the day was a gala concert in the complex “Underground” where national singers, musical and dancing teams of Vietnam appeared before the footlights.
