VSUES volunteers are working at the APEC summit objects
Volunteers from the whole country came to Vladivostok to help support work at the APEC summit objects. VSUES volunteers will be busy at the Russian island until September, 15. Everyday volunteers go to the island by busses. Volunteers from other cities of Russia live at the island.
Nearly three hundred VSUES volunteers are working at the island at present. Each of them has its own range of responsibilities and a position of trust.
The volunteers tell that they are given good conditions for working at the island and the organizers always make advances to them.
2-year student of the School of service, tourism and design in VSUES Victoria Lopatina started her volunteer activity in the beginning of August. She will work in the Block №5 which is called “red zone” in other words. Chiefs of the countries who will come to the summit will live in it.
- I am very happy with my decision to become a volunteer at the APEC summit. My future profession is connected with organization of entertainment and tourist industry. That is why I will gain my first experience by profession at this event. I speak two foreign languages – Korean and English. So, this will be a good language practice for me as well, - said Victoria.
Director of the national service company “CorpusGroup” Konstantin Zemliakov gave a high appraisal to the preparation of the volunteers. According to his opinion everybody has learned its position of responsibility and is ready to the activity at the APEC summit.
Volunteers are not only assisting in the organization of the summit at the Russian island, but also take rest. They participate in different cultural and mass sporting events: volleyball and basketball tournaments, excursions around Vladivostok.
