Within the days of Republic of South Africa in Primorski Krai VSUES was visited by a delegation of representatives from the Embassy of RSA in the Russian Federation. The delegation was headed by an ambassador of RSA in RF Mr. Mandisi Bongani Mabuto Mpahlwa.

The visit started with a tour around the university campus.

- This is our second visit to Vladivostok. Last year we saw how different facilities in the city were being prepared for the summit. We understand that everything was built not just for the visit of high-ranking guests, but for formation of infrastructure and further development of the region. The same was happening in RSA when we were getting ready for the soccer world championship. Vladivostok is one of such centers that will only grow and develop, - said Mr. Mandisi Mpahlwa.

At the meeting with the VSUES president Gennady Lazarev and representatives of the university administration the delegates discussed possibilities of cooperation with RSA, namely assistance of the embassy in giving lectures and video conferences in VSUES and establishing relations with South African universities.

- VSUES uses a new approach where the students are taught not what teachers know, but what is required by employers. For this matter we invite practitioners who are a success in their areas. They share their experience with students thus helping them determine their goal in life, - said Gennady Lazarev.

After meeting with the VSUES president Mr. Mandisi Mpahlwa gave a lecture to the students of economic profiles. Students from the branch of VSUES in Nakhodka city could also take part in it via videolink. The subject matter of the speech was “Economical situation in RSA”. Mr. Mandisi Mpahlwa told about development of RSA, its current status on the world market and its possibilities.
