New display was opened at the Museum and exhibition complex of VSUES

Museum and exhibition complex of the university together with the Academic college of VSUES offers students, teachers and guests of the university to dip themselves into the “Magic world of a Russian toy”. It is the name of a new exhibition which is devoted to Russian folk dolls and toys made out porcelain, clay and patch.

At the opening of the exhibition its mastermind – a teacher of the Academic college Elena Chistyakova remarked on the importance of a toy as a part of culture and added that a Russian doll reflected mental outlook and characteristics of the nation.

The presentation of the “Magic world of a Russian toy” was continued by the head of methodics department of Academic college Svetlana Vashanova and a teacher Elina Orlova. They told the first visitors of the exhibition – students of the college that the doll in the old Russia was not just a toy, but a symbol or a talisman. They were especially valuable as they were made by hands. In the end of the presentation the visitors of the Museum and exhibition complex of VSUES participated in a master class of making a traditional Russian bell-doll which brought success and good news according to legend.
