“WID – INTERIOR – 2013” has opened in the Museum and exhibition complex of VSUES

The annual contest of design under the auspices of International federation of architects/designers takes place in Vladivostok with input from VSUES. However, this year “WID – INTERIOR - 2013” has opened in the Museum and exhibition complex of the university and it is associated with centenary of collage. This is the first stage of the contest which includes exhibition opening and evaluation of works in the category “Interior art”.

The organizers decided to combine the centenary of this timeless art technique and annual days of design in Vladivostok. Thus, an idea of an exhibition named “Collage as an art practice in interior design” was born. Designer’s pottery, batik printing, graphic arts, phytodesign and ikebana, installations and art objects were all placed in one exhibition complex united by one main idea – collaging.

- One can say that our whole life is collage. It consists of many different pieces and forms a general picture.

The exhibition presents works of both professionals and amateurs. Projects of VSUES students take rightful place in it, - remarked an organizer of the exhibition and contest coordinator, member of Designer Union of Russia Natalia Lichmanyk.
