Teachers and students of VSUES have a good tradition of delivering season’s greetings to children of Vladivostok Special Orphanage №1. Staff and students of Tourism and Hotel and Catering Business Department of School of Service, Tourism and Design started the new year of 2014 by celebrating winter holidays with children under their patronage.

Junior students of VSUES: Yana Zban’, Marina Kuksa, Yuliya Moskalenko, Anastasiya Vorobyova and Dmitriy Kravtsov prepared quiz and fun games for their little friends. The children enjoyed the entertainment and were happy to receive their special New Year’s presents: books and learning games. In return they performed holiday poems and songs for their guests and shared laughter and joy with them.

The students were assisted by their professor and supervisor Valeriya Burilova. She said that their Department had been mentoring children of the Vladivostok Orphanage №1 for five years.

-Last year the children were guests of our university. This time we came to them on a return visit.  The most important part of such visits is communication. It is beneficial not only for the children, but also for the students forming their social skills. We plan to continue this tradition and hope to involve more young people into our project.

Along with the Vladivostok Special Orphanage №1, VSUES has a mentoring program with the Vladivostok Infant Orphanage.
