VSUES welcomes new shift of Korean students

VSUES continues successful cooperation with universities of the Republic of Korea on student exchange programs. This semester the university welcomes exchange students from the University Sangmyung. The students had already started to study the Russian language in Korea and they came to VSUES to improve it. Specialists from the university’s International Relations Department met new students at the airport and helped them to get to the campus and to check in a dormitory.

The International Relations Department of VSUES organized a meeting between exchange students from Korea and the Russian students who studied international relations and the Korean language. The foreign guests were shown a presentation about Vladivostok and the university and were treated to tea with sweets. The Korean students did their best to speak Russian and our students actively supported them. The Russian students taking part in the meeting are going to become tutors for their new friends from Korea and to help them in a daily life and studies in Russia. It is important to mention that most of them have already participated in international exchange programs and have experience of living in Korea.

In a few days the Russian tutors will arrange for a tour around memorable places of the city for their Korean friends. Also, the exchange students are getting ready for their studies which will improve their knowledge of the Russian language. One of the Korean students, Jeoung He noticed that she chose to learn Russian because of its growing importance in her home country and she hoped that VSUES would help her.
