VSUES and Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in Primorsky Krai signed a cooperation accord

On the 6th of March the President of VSUES G. Lazarev and the head of the Office of the Ministry of Justice I. Barannik signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation. The main purpose of the agreement is to provide citizens of the Russian Federation with free legal assistance which is going to be exercised by the Justice Clinic of the School of Law of VSUES.

The agreement is in line with the current policy of the Ministry of Justice which is targeted on increasing legal literacy of the population. Students of VSUES School of Law also benefit from the agreement as they will get professional experience during their education. Moreover, according to the statistics the Justice Clinic of VSUES has already proved to be in demand among the citizens.

G. Lazarev underlines that the university is currently moving to the curriculum scheme “3+1” which requires 3 years of theoretical studies and 1 year of internship. The agreement with the Office of the Ministry of Justice will help the university to exercise the new curriculum more successfully.

According to the agreement specialists from the Office of the Ministry of Justice will coordinate work of the Justice Clinic of VSUES and take students for internship.

The Justice Clinic is open every Tuesday. Law students and their teachers as well as professional lawyers are ready to give free legal assistance to citizens on labor, pension, housing and corporate law issues. Initiative of students and teachers was recognized by the Office of the Ministry of Justice in the Primorsky Krai with a letter of gratitude "For active and productive work in providing legal assistance to socially vulnerable people".
