The scientific workshop “The Russian Far East: Economics, Business, Culture” was held in the School of foreign languages

Problems of the Russian Far East were discussed in English at the workshop “The Russian Far East: Economics, Business, Culture” held by the department of West-European languages of VSUES.

16 reports were listened to within the framework of the XVI international research-to-practice conference and competition “Intellectual potential of universities for development of the Far East region of Russia and APR countries”. American students Alison Smith and Jan Blair who study in VSUES at the program “The Russian Far East” also took part in the workshop and presented their report.

Jan Blair from Lewis and Clark College (the USA) shared his impressions:

- All the speakers are demonstrating good knowledge of the Far East problems. Some students actually have in-depth studies. It was interesting for me to participate in this conference.
