The XVII International scientific-research conference for students, post-graduates and young researchers in VSUES involved 33 sections and 821 reports

The XVII International scientific-research conference for students, post-graduates and young researchers “The intellectual capacity of the universities for the development of Russian Far East and Asian-Pacific countries” started with a plenary session in Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service.
The Head of the Postgraduate School Olga V. Grivanova said that all in all during 2 days of the conference on the 33 sections would be presented 821 reports. School pupils and about 35 foreign students also will take part in the conference in special sections. Through the videoconference in discussion of the reports were involved branches of VSUES situated in cities of Artem and Nakhodka.
Opening the plenary session the vice-president of VSUES Tatyana V. Terenteva noticed that the conference is being held in the university since 1999 and the number of participants is constantly growing. The most often discussed and actual themes of the reports of this year are the reports about economy of Russian Far East and Vladivostok especially the status of the city as a free port.
Karim Kamal is the exchange student from the Connecticut College in the USA. He was the first one who presented his report on the theme “Tendency, problems and new priorities of the inbound tourism in Primorsky Region” on the plenary session. With his scientific advisor Aleksander P. Latkin Karim Kamal made a research in rather urgent problem and identified the tendency and the main priorities of the inbound tourism in Primorsky Region and compared it with those in Krasnodarsky Region, where the winter Olympic Games in 2014 were held.
In the end of the conference the jury of the sections will chose the best reports whose authors will be awarded with the diploma. Also the best reports will be presented in the university’s scientific collection of articles.
