Students of the VSUES Institute of Foreign Languages - Winners of the International Online Olympiad in the Russian language

The Russian language Olympiad was held from 19 to 22 February in a distance format. The organizer was the Institute of Philology and Language Communication of the Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk). The XII International Internet Olympiad was timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day and the Day of Remembrance of St. Kirill, one of the ascetics who created the Slavic alphabet.

The Russian language Olympiad was organized in three directions:

- for students of humanitarian specialties;

- for students of non-humanitarian specialties;

- for foreign students.

VSUES students took an active part in the Olympiad, including 28 foreign students of the "Linguistics" direction of the Institute of Foreign Languages.

The results of the competition were announced on March 5th. Four students of the VSUES Institute of Foreign Languages became the winners of the Olympiad.

The second place was taken by the 4th year students of the direction of training "Linguistics" Lu Yan, Li Simiao, Yuysin Syuyxy.

The third place was taken by the 4th year student of the direction of training "Linguistics" Wang Li.

Students who scored more than 10 points received a certificate of participation in the Olympiad:

Wang Di, Wang Ruihua, Wang Tianyuan, Li Xin, Cheng Xuejiao, Wu Qianqian, Han Baiyu, Hu Yaci, Cao Fengming, Zhou Hao, Zhang Zeru, Zhao Jiancheng, Zhao Chenchen, Zheng Tingting.

The curator of the 4th year group, senior teacher of the Russian language department Elena Pugacheva congratulated the winners and thanked all the participants:

- I am proud of my students - it was not an easy competition, but they showed their deep knowledge of the Russian language. I think they are ready for a new professional life after graduation. Olympiads and competitions temper, give an opportunity to believe in yourself. This year, the fourth year will defend their theses. With all my heart I wish them many big and small victories on the path of life and I hope that we will meet again and again and will remember how the guys studied at VSUES and participated in olympiads and competitions.
