6 июля 2021 International Relations

VSUES students conducted an online acquaintance with Vladivostok and Primorye, introduced them to the history and main attractions. The event was held jointly with American partners - United Company Alinga Group “School of Russian and Asian Studies”.

Students of the Higher School of Television and the Department of International Relations and Law, namely: Daria Muravyova, Evgeny Likhachev, Angelina Diveeva, Yaroslava Udovik, Anastasia Voron-Kovalskaya, prepared videos on four attractions: City Center, Military Forts, Submarine and Safari Park. In the process of filming, the guys had to face numerous difficulties: bad weather, repair of the funicular and military forts. However, this did not prevent the presentation of the capital of Primorye from an interesting perspective.

As part of the VSUES promotion abroad, a 2nd year student of the International Relations direction Anastasia Voron-Kovalskaya told American students about the process of filming videos, about interesting facts from the history of the city:

- I talked about things that might interest students - about the embankment, cozy coffee shops, and live music in various institutions. Not without the funicular and the Mariinsky Theater - some of the city''s main attractions. The bridges seemed familiar to American students - there are similar ones in San Francisco. We also talked about the insular part of Vladivostok - Fr. Russian with its batteries, forts and beautiful views. Most of all American students were interested in the Safari Park. In response, they shared their impressions of their zoos and what animals they have. It was surprising for them that in our Safari Park it is possible to feed the animals, because it is forbidden for them.

Specialist of the 1st category of the office of international academic mobility Yulia Epifanova:

- VSUES continues to develop its partnerships and finds new tools to attract foreign students to our university. Therefore, cooperation with the United States did not stop during the pandemic, but only continues to develop and strengthen. In April of this year, students of the Department of International Relations and Law conducted several online excursions along the city streets for children from the United States.
