VSUES students – volunteers of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF)

The Eastern Economic Forum takes place on September 2–4, 2021 in Vladivostok. VSUES students annually participate in the WEF as volunteers.

Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and Law and the Department of Economics and Management Roman Grivanov emphasizes:

– The Eastern Economic Forum is an important platform for the development of international relations and the economy of the Russian Far East. For us, the participation of students in an event of this level is very important. We try to instill the qualities that are necessary for productive participation in the forum. This includes knowledge of English and Oriental languages, business and diplomatic protocols, and cultural characteristics of the partner countries. In addition, participation in the EEF will allow students to get acquainted with the platform on which the future of the development of the Far East, both part of the Asia-Pacific region and the whole world, to get acquainted with the organizational features of holding a world-scale event, with the participation of political and business leaders of our state and the countries participating in the Forum.

Natalia Tarasenko, director of the VSUES Volunteer Center, said that more than 60 VSUES volunteers take part in the EEF, of which 20 people are assistants at the signing ceremonies of agreements:

– The volunteers passed several stages of selection, special training, where they got acquainted with the program and the Forum sites, and according to the results of the exam were distributed in functional areas.

Student of the Institute of Law (direction «International Relations») Tatyana Abramovich participates in the EEF as an assistant at the signing ceremonies of agreements:

– Our functionality is to accompany the signing ceremonies and provide the participants of the Eastern Economic Forum with maximum convenience in their work. The training and briefings before the Forum were efficient and there are no difficulties in the work.

Student of the Institute of Law (training direction «Organization of work with young people») Ekaterina Kharisova – volunteer of the «Accreditation» function:

– We print and issue badges to participants, volunteers and employees of the Forum. Several qualities help me in my work, for example, stress tolerance, attentiveness and responsibility.
