The third season of the Vladivostok Design Week Festival of design, architecture and Art took place in Vladivostok on Tsesarevich Embankment over the weekend, which was attended by teachers and students of VSUES. Various exhibitions, fashion shows, creative workshops and presentations of author''''s works were organized within the framework of the event.

On the site of Vladivostok Design Week, a defile «Russian Asia» was held from a member of the Union of Designers of Russia, associate professor of the Department of Design and Technology, teacher of the College of Fashion and Beauty Industry Maria Zhogova:

— Fragments of collections from different years were presented at the fashion show. I have prepared nine models for the show in the spirit of «Russian Asia». I have been working in this direction for a long time and consider it special. On the one hand, the collection uses traditional Russian technologies and cutting methods, on the other hand, oriental motifs are traced. The models present a combination of a popular type of Russian needlework - felting and modern oriental printing techniques. There are images of oriental mythical creatures on the clothes, and handmade lace and cotton are used as materials.

Every year, students of VSUES participate and win in the international competition of young designers «Russian Silhouette», Pacific style week, the competition of young designers «Pygmalion». Under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Technology Tatiana Zaitseva, an oriental-style collection was created:

— Tatiana Nevmerzhitskaya, Medea Filonenko, Alyona Fedoseeva, Alina Sashchenko, Victoria Zemlyanaya, Yulia Barannikova, Lyubov Shingerey, Alexandra Sharpilova worked on the collection «Mythology of East Asia». Asian mythical creatures inspired the creators of the collection. To implement the images, the remnants of fabrics were used and the recycling technique was applied.

According to the organizers, a strong lecture block was also prepared for the guests of the festival, in which students took part. Trend analysts, industrial and subject designers, interior designers and architects, among whom were guests from San Francisco and Milan, performed at the venues.
