The VSUES Volunteer Center took part in the International Forum

From December 2 to 5, the International Forum of Civic Participation #WeAreTogether was held in Moscow. Volunteers from 40 countries from all over the world came to the Forum. The coordinators of the VSUES Volunteer Center became participants in the kindest event of the year.

This year's event was held under the auspices of UNESCO and is designed to create synergy between the non-profit sector, business, government and the media industry. The forum is dedicated to "Partnership for common goals"; only by uniting, it is possible to achieve results in the most difficult social and socially significant problems.

— This is my first trip to Moscow and immediately to the Forum. I was very worried. The Center's team supported me throughout the event. There were many experienced speakers at the Forum, with whom I managed to communicate personally. The experts told not only about their social projects, but also shared the secrets of the successful launch of good initiatives. The most useful was a strategic session about emotional burnout. In addition, I liked the master classes. Medical volunteers, rescue volunteers and many others prepared interactive platforms in which our team took part. The Forum has become a source of inspiration and motivation for creating social initiatives! — shared the 2nd year student of the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Miroslav Nikonov.

— Most of all I liked the exhibition program of the forum, which provided for more than 200 activities. We also attended the premiere of the film "Nedetskiy Dom". I actively participate and develop social volunteering at the university. Together with the Center's team, we organize trips to the rehabilitation center and hold various social events. The concept of the film was to screen the real stories of the actors; it made me literally live the film. His impressions were wonderful! — said the coordinator of the Center, a 2nd-year student of the Higher School of Cinema and Television Veronika Burova.

— Since 2017, the delegation of VSUES annually participates in the Volunteer day with activists from all over the country. Since this year, the forum has acquired the status of an international event. First, it is a great platform for sharing experiences, meeting like-minded people and inspiring new ideas. Secondly, the most active participants of the center get to the forum. Several coordinators of the Volunteers Centerwere invited under the Mobility Program, an incentive project from the Association of Volunteer Centers. This proves the relevance and recognition of the activities of our volunteers at the All-Russian level. As the head of the center, my priority goal is to participate in the annual meeting of the Association of Volunteer Centers. The agenda of this year was the summing up of the work, the presentation of plans for the next year, as well as the re-election of the Association Council. The results of the annual monitoring of activities were also summed up and our center is in the "green zone" for all indicators. Such a result of work is an important indicator of our fruitful and high-quality work, — said Natalia Tarasenko, director of the Volunteer Center.

Interesting discussions, strategic sessions in all areas of volunteering, social projects and a huge number of good deeds — this will be remembered for the seventh forum of the VSUES Volunteer Center.
