VVSU foreign students conquered the water distance on «Dragon» class boats
On the weekend in the park of culture and recreation at the Sanatornaya station held a sports holiday. Here, in the school rowing, amateur races were held on boats class «Dragon» among foreign and Russian students of VVSU.
Participants: more than 30 foreign students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Linguistics from Vietnam, Taiwan, China, the Republic of Korea, Laos and 20 students at the preparatory department of the International School for Training and Adaptation of Foreign Citizens from Mongolia, Laos and Thailand, including Russian students.
First, a master class was held for VVSU students. Then there was a training, trial run on the water area of the Amur Bay, so that the students «felt the water and the boat», worked out the skills of rowing and team interaction. The final and most emotional stage of the sports festival was the 100 m race as a part of mixed international crews. The best time showed the team, the main part of which were students from Laos.

— According to tradition, every September we go to the Sanatornaya station and ride on boats class «Dragon». Those who are for the first time, they get acquainted with the technique of rowing, who is not the first time, they compete. The mood of all is wonderful.
— Thanks to the joint work of VVSU staff organized participation of foreign and Russian students in a beautiful and interesting sports festival. We can say that we won friendship, good mood, youth, enthusiasm and sports, — said Viktor Yegupov, a leading specialist of the Department for Social and Cultural Adaptation. — The academic year has just started but foreign students of VVSU are actively involved in various activities that promote their speedy adaptation to new conditions of life and study in our university, acquisition of new friends, acquaintance with Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai and the country.
