The Latin alphabet, the national Slavic script, ancient manuscripts brought to life through modern calligraphy, all that can be seen at the «Latin and Cyrillic» exhibition that opened on December 1 in the VVSU Museum and Exhibition Complex. The exposition is based on the creative work of students and masters from the Graphic Design and Visual Communications Department of the A. N. Kosygin Russian State University.

The exhibition is truly unique. The works of young calligraphy enthusiasts bring together tradition and innovation, the past and the present in an amazing way, revealing the beauty of ancient handwriting and the values of our cultural code.

The organizers, authors and guests of the exhibition were welcomed by Tatiana Terenteva, VVSU Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor:

– Our university has been promoting the art of calligraphy for a long time. Largely, it is eastern, which is quite understandable: Vladivostok is a European city in the Asia-Pacific region. Today it is, perhaps, the first time we are so widely acquainted with Slavic writing, with calligraphic paintings of students and undergraduates of the A. N. Kosygin Russian State University.

Tatiana Terenteva thanked her colleagues for bringing this amazing exhibition across the country, giving the students and lecturers of our university, Vladivostok residents and visitors the opportunity to see the beautiful work of young designers.
