The Russian world of international students: the festival «I study in Russia» took place at VVSU

Poems about Vladivostok, fairy tales on a new way, energetic dances and fascinating singing – all this VIII International Interuniversity Festival of foreign students «I study in Russia», which is traditionally organized by the School of Pedagogy and Linguistics of VVSU. Two hundred participants presented on the stage of VVSU 18 countries of the world and showed amazing knowledge of Russian language and culture.

International students attended the festival from VVSU, Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University, Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University, Pacific State Medical University, Far Eastern State Institute of Arts, FEFU, and other Russian universities, as well as students from the International Linguistic School. The students presented creative performances in five traditional competitions: literary, theatrical, instrumental, choreographic, and a photo competition for non-professional photographers.

The festival participants take great pains to create their performances: they look for costumes, build decorations, and choose music to accompany the recitation of their poems. At the gala concert, the audience sees not just amateur talent, but real artists who are not hampered by accent or excitement.
