VVSU – participant in the XXIII International Exhibition Education and Profession 2023 in Uzbekistan

From May 13 to 19, the international exhibition Education and Profession 2023 is taking place in Uzbekistan, allowing university entrants to choose their educational institution from among more than 20 leading universities from around the world. Vladivostok State University is taking an active part in the exhibition.

15 May – Fergana

Students from 17 schools and lyceums of the city visited the exhibition in Fergana.

For high school students, VVSU teachers held quizzes about Russia and Russian culture, also showed a video film and a presentation about Vladivostok and VVSU. In addition, a methodical seminar for teachers of Russian language on the topic «Interactive methods of work on the lessons of Russian language» – has caused lively interest of participants.

Representatives of VVSU International and Cultural Affairs Department also take part in the international exhibition. Specialists explain in detail to Uzbek students not only the conditions of admission to university, but also the advantages of Vladivostok due to the geographical location of the capital of the Far East.

The main areas of interest for potential applicants are law, IT technology, psychology, economics, management, linguistics, teacher education (Russian), oil and gas engineering, and international relations.

17 May – Andijan

At the meeting with high school students, VVSU teachers spoke about the university and showed a video and a presentation about Vladivostok and VVSU.

There were many questions. The main questions were about the rules of admission, how to apply, the fields of studying, and the legalization of the diploma.

VVSU teachers also met at Andijan State University.

19 May – Namangan

VVSU teacher held a training seminar on «Innovative approaches to learning Russian as a foreign language» at the Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute (NamECI).

Professors and teachers from the Department of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language took part in this session.

Colleagues from Russia and Uzbekistan discussed common approaches to the development of e-learning tools and methodological principles for the preparation of individual e-textbook modules. VVSU presented its experience in the development of electronic teaching tools, methods of organizing work with electronic textbooks, and methods of developing their individual elements. For example, such services as Wordwall and LearningApps, which are very popular among teachers in our country.

NamECI teachers were interested in the online Russian language contest that VVSU School of Pedagogy and Linguistics has organized and run for the twelfth consecutive year; the summer Russian language schools, the preparatory department for foreign citizens and many other opportunities provided by VVSU.
