Dormitory Guide: how VVSU students live

Settling in a dormitory is a very important stage in the life of a student, especially a freshman.

On the VVSU territory, there are three residential buildings: dormitory 1, dormitory 2, building "A" and building "B". They are located in the center of Vladivostok, are connected to the classrooms with the help of an escalator, and covered passages, which means that it is not necessary to go outside in order to come to classes.  Within walking distance of the buildings are several bus stops, a large grocery store, a park.

Dormitory No. 1

The building is designed for 595 people. Each floor of the dormitory has a washroom, two kitchens, two toilets, an ironing room and a shower room. The kitchens have everything necessary for cooking, electric kettle and microwave.

On one floor there are 40 rooms, each is designed for three people. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay: desks, beds, refrigerator, kitchen table, wardrobes for storing clothes. On the basement floor, there are two showers, a storage room, a laundry room with washing and drying machines, and a linen room, where bedding is provided to all residents.

Dormitory No. 2, building "A"

Can accommodate 660 people. From the first to the third floor, its structure fully copies dormitory No.1.

There are sectional rooms in the dormitory. Each such section has its own toilet and shower for five people (two rooms). The kitchen is common and is available for everyone from early morning till late at night. There is a microwave oven in each household.

The residents themselves monitor cleanliness and order in the dormitories. On the floors, there are monitor who make up a schedule of duty hours and check the cleanliness of the rooms every Wednesday, as well as help first-year students to adapt to the unfamiliar environment. Students clean their rooms and bathrooms, while the toilets are cleaned by the cleaning service.

Dormitory No. 2, Building "B"

The smallest, but the most staffed complex of all. It can accommodate 169 people. Each room here has a bathroom and a shower room, and the kitchens are not shared but individual. Each room is cleaned by a cleaning service.
