VVSU basketball players are among the top five in the international tournament in China

On 16-19 August, the 35th Sino-Russian International Basketball Tournament "Friendship Cup" ("Promotion Cup") was held in Jixi, Heilongjiang Province. Four teams from Russia took part in the competition: basketball players from two Vladivostok universities (Vladivostok State University and Far Eastern Federal University), student teams from Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk. Eight teams represented China: two professional teams from the Chinese Basketball Association and six student and youth teams. The VVSU team took fifth place, trailing Khabarovsk and three Chinese teams.
