At the 5th championship of digital technologies DigitalSkills in Kazan VVSU student 4-year student of the Institute of Marketing and Commercial Activities Lada Gandzha became one of the top six in the “Internet Marketing” nomination. Lada became the owner of the Medallion for Excellence (medallion “For Professionalism”). The DigilalSkills Championship distinguishes by its high rivalry and practice-oriented tasks.

“The greatest challenge is that the work that usually takes three months to do, we had to do in a matter of hours,” says Lada Gandzha. – The customer was the local marketplace KazanExpress. Using the data it provided, we had to fully develop a strategy, promotion, analyze the target audience, and develop advertising modules, a landing page... Within the limited time, this was a difficult task.

VVSU team was also represented by graduate student Georgii Zvavlin majoring in Mathematical, statistical and instrumental methods in Economics. He made a good showing in “Machine Learning and Big Data” nomination. The team’s compatriot experts were Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Modeling, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Ksenia Galimzianova and leading specialist of the Projects and Programs Department Regina Iashkova, who was also a team leader.

“Our team was tight-knit, we tried to stay as close as possible everywhere, because it was much easier for everyone to be together,” says Regina Iashkova. – Despite the fact that we performed at different nominations, we came across with each other during breaks and discussed what was going on and supported each other.”

“This is the first medallion at DigilalSkills for VVSU,” noted Liudmila Kravchenko, director of the Department of Monitoring and Development of Vocational Education at VVSU. – Last year, our students also made it to the top 10 in these two nominations. Now our team caught up with the strongest rivals like Rosatom or Rostec.”

Lada Gandzha was prepared for the DigitalSkills Championship by Elena Kmet, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and Trade, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

"Training of VVSU students in Internet marketing and e-commerce covers the entire range of modern digital technologies in the field of marketing, taking into account all the latest trends in this area. As a professor with many years of experience, I believe that VVSU trains professional marketing specialists in the field of digital technologies. The participation in championships such as DigitalSkills is the best confirmation of this,” noted Elena Kmet.
