VVSU Is Among TOP 15 Strongest Universities in Russia Implementing Entrepreneurship Programs
According to the results of a research project dedicated to the implementation of entrepreneurial educational programs, VVSU took 11th place, leaving behind a number of well-known Russian universities such as Kazan Federal University and the Higher School of Economics.
The expert assessment of entrepreneurship programs took place within the National University Ranking, presented by the Interfax group.
“Interfax did such research in 2021 for the first time,” said Lyudmila Kravchenko, director of the Department of Monitoring and Development of Vocational Education. – 47 universities out of 85 invited became participants in the project. According to the results of the 2021 experimental rating “Diploma as a Startup,” our university took ninth place, ahead of the leading domestic universities.
Commenting on the university''s high positions in this rating, VVSU Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tatyana Terentieva emphasized that the university was one of the first to implement its own Concept of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development.
- Back in 2013, we switched to a new model of training students. It is practice-integrated training. All these 10 years VVSU fourth-year students have been interning at the local enterprises for seven months," said Tatyana Terentieva. - Today we count on project-based training and the system of startup diplomas. We try to ensure that as many of our students as possible master entrepreneurial competencies. About 2000 students are involved in project activities during the academic year. Of course, not everyone will become entrepreneurs, but this knowledge background is useful for everyone.
