VVSU Women's Basketball Team Became the Champion of the "Winter Cup of the Far Eastern Federal District"

The VVSU women''s basketball team showed brilliant results in the second round of the All-Russian Student Basketball Association competition. Three days of intense, but beautiful games gave the fans a storm of emotions.

As the team coach Tatyana Sholokhova said, the strongest teams from the Far East gathered at the competition.

- All the opponents are experienced and have been playing in this league for a long time. Our team has been created recently. This is our first year performing. Therefore, all the games for us are quite challenging. Everything was at the highest level. Thanks to VVSU for hosting the tournament in our hall, and to the “Traectoria” basketball community for helping with organizing the competition! Our "Sharks" are real fighters. We showed some musclue in every game and prepared for a long time. As the coaches, we encourage the girls, we say that they will succeed – this is the result!,” noted Tatyana Sholokhova.

The VVSU team met with the teams of FEFU, Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University and the Far Eastern State Academy of Physical Culture from Khabarovsk.

In the score table, the VVSU team continues to hold a leading position, having five victories and only one defeat.
