The IX International Interuniversity Festival of Foreign Students “I Study in Russia” took place at VVSU
VVSU foreign students won several nominations at once at the IX International Interuniversity Festival “I Study in Russia.” It is held annually in the spring at the university. This year, more than one hundred students from eight universities of twenty countries took part in the festival. The sudents competed in theatrical, literary, choreographic, instrumental, vocal, culinary and photo nominations.
The festival ended with a bright gala concert. In the competition programs the participants presented Russian vocal hits, folk and modern dances, ballet, and poetry on stage. They demonstrated their creative performances enthusiastically, delighted the audience with colorful costumes and pleasantly surprised the audience with the variety of genres.
VVSU First Vice-Rector Sergei Golikov delivered a welcoming speech.
“I am glad to welcome all participants to our university. I would like to thank the students who came from other countries to study in Russia for choosing our universities. I would really like you to get to know each other, communicate, share cultural and national specifics, learn more and broaden your horizons. Many thanks to everyone who has gathered in this room today. I wish you good luck, success, creative victories,” the vice-rector noted.
The emotions of the winners and their friends filled the entire hall. Each participant proudly accepted the title and became a hero to the mentors and teachers.
