Meeting of the VVSU Rector: new Russian-Chinese projects in the field of education

The other day the visit of the VVSU delegation to Harbin (PRC) took place. Vladivostok State University was represented by Rector Tatiana Terentieva, First Vice-Rector Sergei Golikov, Director of the of International and Cultural Affairs Department Petr Semin, Deputy Director of the Department Olga Severianova.

During the visit, a number of meetings were held at the Harbin Institute of Petroleum, Heilongjiang Vocational College of Tourism, Harbin University of Commerce, Heilongjiang Institute of Foreign Languages, Heilongjiang Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology, etc.

A cooperation agreement has been concluded with the Economic Research Association of the Exhibition Industry of Heilongjiang Province. A joint Russian-Chinese scientific and educational cultural center has been officially opened.

The prospects for establishing joint educational programs of two diplomas were discussed at the meetings at universities in Harbin.

 “Chinese students are interested in economic and pedagogical education, adaptive physical education, and digital technologies,” said VVSU Rector Tatiana Terenteva. “Now we have more than 400 Chinese students studying at VVSU, and I’m sure this number will increase.”

Tatiana Terenteva emphasized that currently, in the context of deepening Russian-Chinese relations, cooperation with universities in the Middle Kingdom is the most relevant, therefore VVSU is extremely interested in implementing its initiatives in this direction.

“The agreements reached will form the basis for new educational projects between VVSU and Chinese universities,” emphasized VVSU Rector Tatiana Terenteva.
