VVSU alumni became prize winners in the regional competition for young specialists working in economic priority sectors
Four VVSU graduates, Maria Aksenova, Maria Akhidova, Anastasia Baukina and Yulia Slepkova, became prize winners: of the competition for young specialists working in socially significant and priority sectors of the economics of Primorsky Krai.
To become a participant one had to provide a reference from an employer, write a motivation letter or make a video about one’s achievements in academic or extracurricular activities, career prospects.
A graduate of the Department of Economics and Management of VVSU Anastasia Baukina said that participation in the competition took place online. Anastasia works as a specialist in training and social programs at Sukhodol Sea Port LLC.
“I am glad that I was able to become one of the winners. Participation in this competition gives a good start in the career of young specialists, helps to understand that the government is ready to provide assistance and support in building a career. I plan to work and build a career in the field of HR management. In the future, I see myself as the head of the HR department,” Anastasia emphasized.
“Our university has an excellent teaching staff who share their knowledge and experience with students and give them the opportunity to build a successful career,” Anastasia noted.
Maria Aksenova, a graduate of the International Institute of Environment and Tourism of VVSU in the field of "Organization of hotel and tourist complexes", has been working at the art congress hotel "Equator" since 2023. The young specialist shared that she will continue to develop in her professional field.
"In my opinion, such opportunities have a positive effect on the interest of young specialists to continue working in their chosen field, and also to continue their education in order to improve their qualifications. I am grateful for making the competition, in which both students and graduates of educational organizations can take part. This has become an excellent opportunity to prove themselves and set new goals for the future," Maria shared her impressions.
Such competitions are a powerful incentive for further professional growth. They give young professionals the opportunity to make a name for themselves, demonstrate their achievements and gain recognition. 147 people took part in the competition, and all of them are the graduates of Primorye universities and colleges.
The event was held for the purposes of positive labor motivation, high business activity and skills for effective behavior in the regional labor market, as well as the retention of young professionals at Primorsky Krai enterprises and the provision of state support in the form of a monthly cash payment.
