VVSU International Students Had a Trip to Ponds Park

VVSU students visited the Shtykovskie Ponds Park. The students were accompanied by the head of the VVSU Institute for the Preparation of Foreign Citizens Victoria Soleinik, Russian language teacher Svetlana Karyakina, and employees of the Department of Social and Cultural Adaptation Viktor Egupov and Alisa Pletneva.
The excursion was attended by students of the preparatory department of the Institute for the Preparation of Foreign Citizens from China, Laos, and Zambia, as well as foreign students studying at various institutes of the university.
The Shtykovskiye Ponds Park is located two hours'''' drive from Vladivostok. At this time of year, you can enjoy the winter views of the unique nature of Primorsky Krai, as well as go ice skating, alpine skiing, go downhill on a tube, wander through the forest. There are special photo zones organized throughout the forest and sculptures of animals living in the Primorsky taiga are located: the Far Eastern leopard, the Amur tiger, the Himalayan bear, the red deer and many others.
Many foreign students first tried skating, alpine skiing and tried to master snowboarding. Others demonstrated excellent skills in winter sports. Dong Hanchen and Cheng He, students of the preparatory department of the Russian language from the PRC, really enjoyed skiing, and student Ho Wonnyong amazed everyone with his skillful skating. It turns out that as a child in his homeland, he played hockey for three years. Ho is also an excellent alpine skier.
The students rode down the mountain on tubing, and at the end they took group photos and went to try Russian, Georgian and Pan-Asian cuisine in the park’s cafe.
