VVSU students of the Institute of Law visited the exhibition of the Chinese artist Dou Fengzhi "Qingdao - Vladivostok. Two cities, one ocean". The students were told about the culture and art of the Celestial Empire.
The exhibition of paintings by Dou Fengzhi in the Primorsky State Art Gallery united two countries China and Russia. It represents more than 50 works. Some of these works are dedicated to the master''s hometown, Qingdao, and some were written after the author''s visit to Vladivostok.
"Art can be called the language of universal communication. For the residents of our countries, such cultural exchanges are very important. Therefore, we try to introduce this practice to our students in order to upgrade their skills in the organization and promotion of cooperation between our countries in the field of culture and art. Vladivostok is a traditional meeting point for the East and the West. Our graduates have always made and will make contribution to the development of this cooperation,” explains Roman Grivanov, head of the Department of International Relations and Law.
By decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, 2024-2025 have been declared the Cross Years of Culture of Russia and China. This step is intended to strengthen partnerships between the countries. As a part of this idea, a significant number of events are held in Vladivostok. One of them was the exhibition of the Chinese artist Dou Fengzhi “Qingdao - Vladivostok. Two cities, one ocean.”
“The history of each work and the artist himself are unforgettable memories. The diversity of the landscapes of our city, as well as the homeland of the master, working with paints and compositions in combination with Chinese culture and lifestyle are an excellent experience for a future specialist who will soon be directly connected with Asian culture,” shares Diana Kondratieva, a student at the Institute of Law.
