Students and Faculty Members of VVSU Celebrated Cosmonautics Day with Flash Mob

On April 12, the whole world celebrates Cosmonautics Day – the day when the first Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin opened a new chapter in human history. Students and faculty members of VVSU marked this memorable date with a thematic play and dance flash mob.

Participants included activists from the Youth Policy Department, students, and faculty members of the Academic College of VVSU. The students performed a thematic play – a creative performance for university guests. Actors reminded everyone about the role of the Soviet man in exploring the boundless cosmos.

The event culminated in a large-scale flash mob. More than 60 students, employees, and professors danced to the song "Trava u Doma" ("Grass Beside My Home") by the band Zemlyane. The legendary hit was performed by soloists of the vocal group "Prestizh" (VVSU).

Cosmonautics Day is an international celebration marking the world''''s first flight of a Soviet person into space. This day commemorates Yuri Gagarin''''s historic journey into space on April 12, 1961, and highlights pioneering achievements in exploring the vast expanses of the universe.
