Students of VVSU Completed Internship in China

The students from the College of Tourism Industry and Hospitality at VVSU have successfully practiced their skills in Hunchun City, China. During their stay, they took on the role of international tour guides.

Students worked as guides during sightseeing tours in Hunchun, Tumeng, and Yangzi cities. In leading groups, students practiced organizational and communication skills.

Special attention was given to comparing Russian guide practices with those of Chinese professionals. Students analyzed differences in approach to tourist services, including information delivery style, cultural specifics, and interaction mannerisms. They also mastered international standards for tourism service provision.

During this trip, students immersed themselves in Chinese culture and traditions. Practitioners visited the monument “To Russian Soldiers” in border city Tumeng and conducted excursions through hotels in Hunchun. This experience broadened their understanding of interstate relations between friendly nations.

In China, students underwent an excellent team-building exercise. They discovered new aspects of professional identity while exchanging experiences in informal settings.

Field practice in Hunchun is an invaluable part of student training at the College of Tourism Industry and Hospitality. The knowledge and skills acquired will ensure future competency among specialists in the global tourism market.

This field practice program was organized by the college in collaboration with travel agency VGUE Travel within the framework of its student tourism initiative.
