International Yoga Day Celebrated by Institute of Physical Culture and Sports at VVSU
On June 21st, the longest day of the year, International Yoga Day was celebrated. Preceding this event, the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports at VVSU, together with the General Consulate of India, prepared a large-scale celebration.
At the sports complex "Champion," students from all departments and faculty members of the Institute gathered.
A welcoming speech was delivered by Vice-Consul of India Mr. Mukhe Kumar. The event was also attended by consular officer Paradip Saran.
Under the expert guidance of instructors Maria Mozgovaya and Irina Ladnykh, participants engaged in yoga practice. The program featured demonstrations of asanas and breathing exercises according to general yoga protocol. Participants were introduced to movement anatomy. After completing the practice, many young athletes expressed their enthusiasm, stating that they plan to continue practicing yoga regularly.
