VVSU Builds Active Cooperation with Educational Institutions in China
Before the start of the admission campaign for the academic year 2025–2026, Victoria Soleinik, head of the Institute of Training of Foreign Citizens at VVSU, and Victor Yegulov, senior specialist of the Department of Social and Cultural Adaptation, paid a visit to the People''''s Republic of China. The delegation met with leaders of educational institutions, Russian language teachers, and high school students in various regions of China, including Jungar Qi and Linhe in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Guangzhou in southern China, and Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province.
In Jungar Qi (Inner Mongolia), negotiations were held with the leadership of Secondary School No. 1 under the direction of Principal Gao Xukun, party officials, and Russian language teachers. The parties discussed attracting graduates of the school to preparatory programs, bachelor''''s degrees, and master’s programs offered by VVSU, as well as providing methodological support to Chinese Russian language teachers and the university''''s education center. Delegates also met with high school seniors and made a Russian language workshop and presentation about the university, preparatory courses, undergraduate, and graduate studies.
In Linhe (Inner Mongolia), representatives of VVSU met with the head, faculty, and students of Secondary School No. 3. Their visit included discussions aimed at attracting graduates to preparatory, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs at VVSU. The delegates presented details about the university and held workshops on Russian language and culture for senior school students.
Next stop for the delegation was Guangzhou. At the Municipal Construction Vocational School and Municipal Construction Vocational Technical College VVSU delegates held talks with institutional heads. Over the past year since the last visit of VVSU, they had established Russian language classes for 42 students starting from grade 10.
The final part of the journey brought the VVSU delegation to Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province. The educational group Lungmei, which has long been collaborating effectively with Russia and aims to expand partnerships with more Russian universities, invited the VVSU delegation. During the dialogue with the head of the educational group "Lungmei" and representatives of Daiqing Pedagogical University, issues concerning cooperation in attracting school graduates to the preparatory department, bachelor''''s degree, and master''''s degree programs at VVSU were discussed.
Victoria Soleinik, head of the Institute of Training of Foreign Citizens at VVSU, summarized the results of the visit. She emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between VVSU and Chinese educational institutions in the view of developing strategic partnership between our two countries.
Vladivostok State University looks forward to welcoming Chinese students in the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year.
