Students of VVSU Visited the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia

In 2025-2026, the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia plans to celebrate its 250th anniversary. Students from the Institute of Information Technologies and Data Analysis at VVSU learned about the history and life of Europe's main theatrical stage.

Just over the weekend, Maksim Kvan and Ernest Kostanian participated in the Tavrida Festival of Young Art in Crimea, and today they are already in Moscow. Between flights, students do not waste time idly – they explore the capital of Russia. Thus, the guys have already visited the Bolshoi Theater.

Students became more than just spectators. They learned about the history of the imperial theater. Guests saw live the stalls, government, directorial and royal boxes, amphitheater, balconies, as well as the museum foyer.

Students found out that the Bolshoi Theater today is not only a cultural object, but also an important socio-political tool. The peculiarity of the theater is that its stage can rise and fall, and the walls fold like an accordion. Therefore, besides concerts, press conferences, presentations and buffets are held here. Diplomats from other countries regularly visit the theater. Today, this is not just a good tradition, but part of international protocol.
